Greetings to all.    Keri, N2KNK here. I just wanted to give everyone a bit of an update on the happenings over here on the west side of the rock pile.

Ute Butte on the Uncompahgre Plateau has been transitioned to the WestCO system.   It is currently active with all solar engines running.   I did add 250 watts of solar to the roof to assist in the winter time and for the higher expected use than it had in the past.   The repeater is a Kenwood TKR-851 and transmitting about 22 watts to the antenna, which is a DB-404 4 bay folded dipole antenna (roughly 3.5Dbd gain) at about 48 feet.   

I will be looking into increasing battery capacity in the near future, but for this year, I am tapped out.  There is a low voltage disconnect to help protect the batteries and some strategically placed solar panels to help bring them back (hopefully.)

Listed at the end of this email is a link to the "N2KNK WestCO System" map showing locations of the repeaters, and if you click on the waypoint, will pop up the information with frequency, offset and CTCSS tone.   Also attached is the photos I took of this basic location.   PS there is APRS at this location as well.
