Greetings all,

We have been given the OK from a generous tower owner for the Akron 449.125 repeater to be at his site in Akron CO.  This site is on a prominent hill and has a commanding view of the area.  I have included a map below. 

This will enable us to move the repeater which only covers the town now to cover a much bigger area of NE CO on UHF along I-76 and rural areas and towns, also including Ft. Morgan, Brush, & Akron.

This repeater will then also be usable by EOSS for balloon chases as well as filling in some area now that the 2 meter repeaters in the are at this time a little weak in.  (The new Ft. Morgan 2 meter repeater will also be on air in the next few weeks, but we have NO UHF coverage up there).

We have the repeater, the node linkage, internet provided, tower site and antenna.  We need a new duplexer and hardware, plus a bit to give to our tower guy who climbs for us.  And one of our UPS’s need new batteries to help keep connections going thru power outages.

SO at this time we are asking for you and 29 others to give a $10 donation to SkyHubLink so we can complete this project before the weather gets into winter.  $300 will just about cover what we need to do at this time.
