Be sure to check in to the Colorado Astronomy Net next week (04/02) for a discussion on the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse on April 8. We will be discussing how to observe the eclipse from your location, Times, path, safety tips and more. This particular net will be run similar to the Monday Night SkyHubLink Net. I will give my initial report for planetary and sky events for April, info on the eclipse, then I will take checkins and go down the list in turn for questions, comments and answers. All of the contiguous 48 states of the US will see at least part of the eclipse, millions will be on centerline. Weather will obviously affect your viewing experience.

Topic for tonight was: Once in a lifetime nova <https://phys.org/news/2024-03-astrophysicist-science-lifetime-nova-outburst.html> that shows up every 80 years will be visible between now and September.

Anyone interested in ground station monitoring of the downlink on the OSCAR satellite that is in geosynchronous orbit above Qatar. The SDR is setup at the Cornwall Goonhilly earth station in UK.
