Subject: America's Kansas City Wide,,, New Update

America's KC Wide Update as of 10-08-23
Hi, wow, Thanks to you KC-Wide has really been growing.
It is now one of the most popular English speaking Fusion rooms in the world.
Thank you for all your help and support.
Welcome and we hope you stop by often. Thank you...
-----------------------------------------------

Facebook, Jennifer N0VVX, Brian WQ0A and Emmett KI5SPL have been doing an excellent job in helping Rick W0FH and Brad W8WBW keep Facebook up to date. If you have pictures you would like to share please consider the Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/837520033824624

New Audio Announcements, if you noticed our audio informational bulletins sound much better... We are now lucky to have Todd W9CCQ in Chicago to thank for that. He has gotten with Rick W0FH and has been doing many of the audio announcements. Todd is a professional announcer and works at the biggest and best radio station in Chicago.

Special Thanks, we have been blessed to keep KC-Wide functioning only due to the support, work, and endless hours of many.
If you look at our webpage at www.kansascitywide.com<http://www.kansascitywide.com> in the Acknowledgements section there is a lengthy list of people, clubs and companies that have made and continue to make this Ham Radio network happen.
There are those in front of the curtain and those behind that most people never know about. Let me focus on two behind the curtain that have been working continually hard to make this all work. Rick Harkins W0FH and Kris Ulmer KU0S. These gentlemen have been there since day one using their skills and knowledge to not only make the technology work but to keep us on the right track.
Please join me in thanking them for their efforts in keeping this Ham Radio network so we can all use it.

New Repeaters, we have three new Kansas City Wide repeaters now on Fusion linked to KC-Wide in the Kansas City area. We also upgraded our Stadium repeater located at the Royals and Chiefs stadium area.

We have a new repeater in Kansas City, MO downtown called KCMO-DTWN. We got this thanks to Brian Short KC0BS. It took lots of special computer magic from Rick W0FH and Kris KU0S to get this all to work. A special thanks to Cort N0MJS and Bob W0NQX for making this happen. It is on 146.940 MHz and covers the downtown area very well.

We have a new repeater in Atchison KS and is about forty-eight miles northwest of downtown KC. We got this thanks to Brad KB0LSM. It is on 442.725 MHz and has great coverage.

We have a new repeater in Excelsior Springs, MO and is about twenty-eight miles northeast of downtown KC. This got this thanks to Ernie WA0HBX and Brad KB0LSM. It is on 443.825 MHz and works well.

Our Stadium repeater got a big upgrade. It has a new much higher antenna and new receiver filters for the 100 W repeater. If you are near the Royals or Chiefs stadium please try it out. It is on 145.490 MHz. A special thanks to Lance AD0GA, Randy Brooks and William KD0WEX for all their work and making that happen.

Since KC-Wide now has multimode capability we now have a new repeater in Fort Myers, Florida. It is on 442.175 MHz, offset +5.0 MHz, Color Code 1, Timeslot 1. We got this repeater thanks to Jim KF5IW and Chris KB2IDX.

Kansas City-Wide transmitting from the center of the Universe,,, as we know it...

KC-Wide Repeaters:
Below is a list of the Fusion Kansas City Wide group of repeaters. The Kansas City Wide group of repeaters are all linked together to provide a larger coverage area. You will find that other repeaters and hot spots often link to the room, but the list below is typically available 24/7.
"America's Kansas City Wide" Ham Radio network is only possible thanks to the support of several ham radio clubs, a couple private individuals and some special local companies. By this collective working together the coverage of the "Kansas City Wide" coverage group continues to grow as it becomes a better community resource.
