[SkyHub] Good Friday Thought and Easter Weekend

   Something I thought I would share, this came to me from a good friend!  Blessings, peace and thanks to you all for gathering together for the repeater system, amateur radio, and just plain good friendship!  You are ALL a blessing to me. It was what the pastor didn’t say that caught me.  The passage was about Sodom & Gomorrah. You probably know the story. The angelic beings come to Sodom and go to Lot’s home.  The men of the city saw them and are now hammering on the outside of the house demanding that Lot send his visitors out so they can rape them.  Lot won’t do this… and here the Spirit convicted me.
   What struck me was that to these men, demanding Lot send his visitors out to be raped, to them they were doing nothing wrong.  This was normal, just a cultural thing; and I wondered, being deeply immersed in our current culture, how many things I considered “normal” when they were absolutely abhorrent to God.  My guess is that if we could see our sins, we would drown beneath them.
   It’s Good Friday (and Easter/Resurrection day weekend.  Where we deserved, and still do, condemnation… He who had no sin took on our sins and ladled His forgiving grace over us.  As a result, I desire to pursue living a life of righteousness.  We are called to be different than the culture of this world, proclaiming the excellence of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light!  Live in anticipation of resurrection!!
