Greetings all, several things of note.

There will be a Scouting “Jamboree of the Air” this Saturday February 4th. We will switch the 449.625 Wires-X repeater over for this time beginning at 9am to the group carrying on the event. It will remain connected for the duration of the event, probably until noon or so. Join in if you can and support scouts on the air! For more information see:

The Mt. Chief 447.100 repeater (PL 114.8) is ON THE AIR and operating and really has GREAT coverage south including Castle Rock, Parker, Aurora, and up to Greeley and along the hogback and foothills around C-470. While it is NOT connected as of this writing, we are anticipating connection to the rest of SHL within a few days. We will report that as soon as our ISP friends at EOMedia get us connected.

We are working on another Wires-X repeater that will be on the air in the next couple of months from the Parker area and home-rooming on SkyHubLink Wires-X 46361. The frequency will be 448.275. Equipment is being purchased and being assembled even as we type. This repeater will really help with some fill in and cover further out into Douglas and Elbert Counties.

The Elk Mountain Wyoming repeater is fully operational even though it seems to be “stuck” in transmit. It is passing all traffic in and out so don’t be afraid to use it up in that area, even though you see a carrier coming across.

More to come, stand by for news!

Jack
