Thank you for participating in today's Weather Outlook Net. Your snow reports were all relayed to the appropriate NWS Office, and they much appreciated your reports. Keep them coming!

Be sure to carefully read the "How to Report" section under the Severe Weather Watch Network at skyhublink.com/nets. Because of the high level of traffic we can receive during widespread storm events, it's important to keep reports short, yet concise and to the point. Extra descriptions (adjectives) usually aren't necessary. Remember, we cover Colorado, southern Wyoming, and Panhandle Nebraska. Many spotters can be waiting to submit a report. Short, to-the-point transmissions become critical during tornado outbreaks when lives are at stake. My report might sound like this, "NC2WX, Spotter Number xyz23, location 10 W of I-25 mm108. 3.4" measured, moderate snow ongoing, visibility 0.75mi. NC2WX."

We'll have more of these exercises throughout the winter period. The CO Severe Room is TG31083 and, if needed, repeaters are brought into that room within affected areas. Thanks for your dedication as we serve the NWS!
