Jack, thank you very much for this info. Most valuable. I appreciate that
you listed the various nodes by which to monitor the Severe Room. Thanks for
all you do! 73, Gary NC2WX

Subject: [SkyHub] Monitoring the severe weather net WHEN NOT linked to your
repeater
Greetings all,
DURING Severe weather activations of the Colorado Severe Weather NET room
31083, and other sectioning off of repeaters you will not hear all the
severe weather action on the regular SkyHubLink system. This is due to
not needing to tie up the entire system for certain area weather activations
so that others can use their repeaters.
You can use the following to monitor that activity if it is not utilizing
one of the other area repeaters you are in during an event.
ALLSTAR Node : 485322
DMR TG: 31083 (go to https://hose.brandmeister.network/, then click on the
Player upper right, and type 31083) (You can also listen to SkyHubLink as
a whole by typing in 310847)
YSF Node: YSF 31083 US-BM-TG-31083 COSevereWX
Wires-X Room: Colo-SevereWX 65045
Hamshack Hotline: 94073
Please we ask that if you are reporting weather of SIGNIFICANT NATURE (see
https://skyhublink.com/wx-net/ for the correct up to date information) to
follow severe weather guidelines, and then ONLY if there is an active event
going on that Gary is seeking information. In that case we will probably
have sectioned off the repeaters for the weather occurring in the immediate
coverage areas of individual repeaters. We do not want to tie up the
entire SkyHubLink system with local weather reports unnecessarily. Again
see the webpage listed for all the information. Reports of its starting to
snow or rain here or of insignificant information ties up the repeaters
unnecessary during a weather event. See the listings on the webpage for
what constitutes needed information.
All of this is to make sure that we are not tying up too much of the system
with weather reports and information that doesnt pertain to the rest of the
system.
Thanks, and any questions be sure to ask myself or Gary!
73
Jack
