There is a mention of KAAR radio. My father had a boat with a KAAR marine
radio. It was AM in the 2 MHz area. I remember the calling channel and the
coast guard were on 2.182 MHz. The radio used a pair of 807 tubes for the
final and another pair for the modulator. It had a motor-generator to
generate high voltage. It would start up when you keyed the mic.I wish I
still had that for 160 meter operation!
