Hello fellow Club Members and Friends, the* Central States Spring VHF
Sprints start this evening at 7 PM on 144 MHz*. This is a great way to go
out and test equipment for a short period of time or participate from home.
I plan to do a mini rove with 2 grids for each Sprint to check rover
equipment. I have attached the link for the Central States
announcement below with all of the rules. We always have good
participation from the Pack Rats. Per the rules you can work each contact
on Phone, and again one more time on FT8.
For the Sprint I will be utilizing a dual stack of halos on my Rover, and
for stationary set up, I am testing a super featherlight 5 element beam
from Diamond A144S5 that only weighs 1.5 pounds, and will be set up with
quick fiberglass mast at 30ft.
You can follow my mini rove on the map at https://w3sz.com/map.php
I plan to start in FN20NA at 7 PM for 1 hour and move to FM29KR for 1
Hour, and back to FT8 during the last hour.
