Rick,

Please share with SJRA members:

As many of you have already heard, the ARRL Contest Advisory Committee is
again discussing possible rules changes in the Sweepstakes contest.

The main focus seems to be the slowdown in rate on Sunday, particularly in
the CW weekend.

A few ideas floated so far:

1. Allow a QSO with stations on each band (currently you only work a
station once; this would allow six QSOs with same station).

2. Shorten time of contest, such as to 1800Z Saturday to 1800Z Sunday with
6 hours off.

3. Tinker with the long exchange, such as dropping the callsign inclusion
(which has already been established at start of the QSO).

4. Leave as it is.

If you have thoughts on this I would appreciate if you let me know
soonest. (If you are not in the Atlantic Division of ARRL, please let your
rep know in your division). <https://www.arrl.org/arrl-staff-cac>
