One thing to take into consideration is liability. You want a transmitter installed in a vehicle with multiple computer systems. Should one or more of them be damage by RF energy, the installer is liable. I had a friend blow out his ECM on a Toyota. $1400 worth of damage. Fortunately a Toyota tech was on the message board and revealed a reset button that the dealership did not reveal.

Subject: [SJRA-Members] In-your-driveway Mobile Rig installers
I have an FTM-300, a trunk lip antenna, and a small subwoofer I'd like to have installed in my car. Does anyone know someone who does car stereo or amateur radio rig installs on location? I'm located in Haddon Township.
I know a few shops where I can bring my car to, but I'd much prefer to have someone come to me, saving my wife a trip carting me around with two little kids. The alternative is of course doing it myself, but that's really a last resort as I dislike working in and around cars.
Thank you all and
73,
Chris KC2IEB
