[SJRA-Members] Remote Station

As you know I’ve been hosting the K2AA station that operates on 80 meters
through 70cm. Al, KD2ST, and I along with a few others who contributed
equipment, were anxious to provide this service to the club as soon as
possible. It made sense to set the station up at my QTH for a trial period
of time. The past 6 months have provide the time necessary to get the bugs
out of the system and to verify that it works. It works very well and has
even been used to host an SJRA net control operator.
Unfortunately I now have to make the decision to take the station off the
air, which I announced at last night's meeting. I need to do maintenance on
my antennas before the weather stops cooperating and the SJRA antenna is in
the way. I’ve also found that the station can interfere from time to time
with the operation of my own station, therefore as of sometime this Friday
the station will be taken off the air until we can find a permanent home.
I really hope that someone can suggest a permanent location for the remote
station. The square footage required is minuscule, but internet access will
be necessary and space for a modest antenna such as a vertical or endfed.
Please let me know if you know of such a space.
