John,
There is a group of Gloucester County Amateur Radio Club members working on
a proof-of-concept SNJ AREDN network as part of Cooper University Healthcare
AUXCOM. We have a pretty good working knowledge of AREDN, and can probably
help if you have questions.

Last fall we had a temporary node mounted on the roof of Cooper hospital in
Camden and tested RF connections at various remote locations, mostly between
the RT 70 & RT 45 corridors.

We have a node mounted at about 80' on the clubhouse tower in Mullica Hill.
It is connected via Internet IP tunnels to nodes at members houses and to
the world-wide AREDN network. When the weather gets better, we will be
testing RF connections from there to a node at Rowan University in Glassboro
and probably to one on the roof of the new Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill.

We are always looking for SNJ hams with towers (or access to a high places)
that might be willing to host nodes.

If you are interested in learning more or hosting a node, please email me at
my callsign at arrl.net.

John - K2QA

Subject: [SJRA-Members] AREDN Mesh Network

Are there any members interested in trying to build a mesh network in south
jersey ? I reside in Cinnaminson and have a few devices up and running, but
I lack any RF neighbors.
