[SJRA-Members] 2 m K2UK Operational at Pine Hill MUA

Previously, I was not able to hit the Pine Hill machine from my parents’ house in Vineland, and had difficulty from my place in Marlton.  As Mark KD2JPW was saying, we were able to maintain a QSO well past where K2AA runs out of string. I believe it was this past Thursday night I spoke to Roy WB2EOD on my way in to work from Vineland. Coverage was a little spotty in the mobile in the low spots, but no problems from clear high ground.  I receive the machine almost full scale on my portable station in Vineland.

I was leaving Washington Twp on the Black Horse Pike headed to Egg Harbor and Owen was traveling from Marlton area to Vineland I believe and we had great coverage with strong signal.  Although we did not conduct a QSO for our entire travels, I will note that K2UK was reachable all the way down to Egg Harbor from my mobile whereas K2AA usually drops out about 3/4 of the way.  In my opinion from that QSO alone, I am happy with the new K2UK!
