[SJRA-Members] 13 Colonies Event July 1 to July 8

John/SJRA Members,

Thanks for letting us know about the 13 Colonies Contest - still underway!

It was a blast!  

This was the first time I have done this contest.  The pileups were huge, patience and timing is key.  As of last night I finally made contact with the illusive K2D (CT) for a "Clean Sweep!".

I also have one of the two bonus stations (WM3PEN) and am still trying for the second bonus (GB13COL) but the pileups are tremendous and I can barely hear him and most other stations signals are for sure swamping my station.  In the spirit, I will keep on trying.
