I will be doing an FM only operation again this year. 2M (146.52, 146.55, maybe 146.58), 223.5, 446.0 100+ watts on each band to a vertical 95’ ASL. FM29mx.

Also 52.525 FM, but that antenna is a low horizontal loop. Also 100w. Catch me on upper bands first.

Bob

Subject: [Packrats] WSJT-X sound card issues

Looking for advice from the experts.

I finally got around to downloading WSJT-X over the holiday break. (The amount of activity that is occurring with MSK144 peaked my curiosity) After several hours of trying everything I could think of I am still not able to make this version of WSJT receive anything.

My station configuration is a Yeasu FT-847, MFJ-1275 interface, and a Windows 7 computer. This setup continues to work perfectly with JT65-HF and even my old copy of WSJT 9, but for some reason no amount of audio level change has any effect on WSJT-X. I even connected the CAT control just in case this was an integral condition for the program to work.

The display is unchanged regardless if the audio connection between the rig is in or out. I'm stumped. Does this program need a different sound card to operate?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks and Happy New Year to all.

Phil NUF.
