In case you missed our meeting last night let me update you on several
issues.

1. Thanks to a good suggestion from Art, N2CPR, we decided to cultivate a
pool of members who would be willing to serve as "Elmers," helping seasoned
as well as newcomers to the hobby with their questions and problems. There
are so many aspects to our hobby that no one has all the answers even if
you have been licensed for decades.

The idea came up several years ago and now the WebTeam is confident they
can built a section on our website to handle these discussions. We will
likely call the new website section "Ask an Elmer" and the conversations we
have there could serve as useful copy for "Harmonics." Think of this new
Ask and Elmer program as something similar to "The Doctor Is In" developed
by the ARRL in QST Magazine.

*Please consider volunteering to be an Elmer*. I assure you this task
should not take up much of your time at all, especially if we have a
reasonable pool of Elmers. If you are willing to serve please just drop my
an email with your name and call sign. I have 3 names already and would
like to add more.

2. I had previously put out a call for members interested in showing off
their stations at the March meeting but so far have had very few come
forward. The idea, based on another club, is to take about 7 minutes for a
presentation at the March meeting using still images or a short movie and
possibly a block diagram to show us your station layout, including antennas
if you wish. We will provide a projector and laptop so all you need bring
is a key-chain flash drive with you presentation. I will need to know if
you want to be a presenter no later than March 1st. If I don't get
reasonable participation I'll need to look for another alternative for the
March meeting.

73s and I hope to hear you on the air!
