The N1MM+ logger has numerous features that are tough to learn without
studying the N1MM Logger Manual (User installed * pdf required) on the
"Help" tab.

The first thing that you need to know is that a Telnet connection must be
established to a Cluster for the spot features to work. This requires an
internet connection. Hopefully, you can follow the abbreviated procedure
below:

1) Open the "Bandmap" and "Telnet" windows, if you have not already done
so.
2) Click the "Clusters" tab on the Telnet window.
3) Select a cluster from the dropdown list. I use K3NC. I have never had
a problem with this cluster.
4) Ensure that "Automatically Logon" is checked.
5) Enter your normal callsign in the "Logon with" window.
6) Click the "Connect to .." button. The first tab will be selected and
you will be logged on. The default setting for the rest of the tabs should
suffice except possibly "Bands/Modes". Make sure that all of the bands or
modes you can use are selected. The spots for each band appear in the
Bandmap window.

Here is how you spot yourself in the N1MM+ logger is not connected to your
rig (Manual mode):
1) Enter* the desired frequency in the Entry Window where you normally would
enter a callsign.
2) Now enter the desired mode in the same location.
3) Lastly, enter the callsign that you are going to use, for example,
k2aa/100 or w2huv/100.

*Enter means type in the info and press the "Enter" key.

if the N1MM+ logger is connected to your rig (Auto), you may skip steps 1
and 2 if the information obtained from your rig what is desired. I always
change bands using steps 1 and 2, so you may use the same steps regardless
of N1MM+ logger mode.

Press Ctrl-P to bring up the "Telnet Spot' window. Enter an appropriate
comment such as "SJRA 100yr QSO party".
The spot that you enter will NOT appear in the "Bandmap", but it should
appear at the bottom of the list of spots in the "Telnet" window.

That's it! Good luck!

John W2HUV/100
