[SJRA-Members] ARRL DX Contest

All,
The SJRA will put K2AA on the air during the ARRL-DX contest this weekend. I
plan on this being a fun operation similar to the Nov Sweepstakes. This will
be a great opportunity to get into radio sport. There will be a number of
operators available to coach those who are new to the hobby or new to
contesting.

Unlike Sweep Stakes, this will start on Friday Evening at 0:00Z (7:00 PM
EDST) and end on Sunday at 0:00Z (7:00 PM EDST). There will be plenty of
time to operation.

Status so far: T3 has been moved from storage and is at my QTH. The computer
network has been tested. We will be using N1MM+ as the logging program.

I am planning on Thursday March 3rd at 7:30 PM to do the final setup and
check out of the gear. Since it will be a one transmitter operation there
will be no need for headphones.

At this time the operator schedule is clear. Please contact me ASAP onto the
schedule. I will do my best to keep everyone up to date on available times.

Those contacting K2AA can use this as their bonus contact in the SJRA QSO
party.

I also encourage SJRA members to participate in the contest from their own
stations. The SJRA will provide the participation pin for any member would
makes at least 100 QSO's and submits the log to the SJRA.
