The third and final experimental fusion net on the K2AA repeater will be held tomorrow night the 8th of December at 8:00 PM in DN mode. I will be your host and control operator. I would like all of the 2M FM and 10M SSB net control stations with fusion rigs to participate as I want to finalize dates and control operators for a permanent 2 meter fusion net starting in January, a possible reduction in the 10 meter net to once a month and a date for this net. We can also discuss eliminating fifth weeks for 2 meter FM. My proposed plan is 2M FM on the first four Monday's, 10 meter SSB on the third Thursday's and 2 meter Fusion on the second and fourth Thursday's. This gives us seven nets a month, close to what we have now. I think any more won't be supported. We are holding on to one 10 meter SSB net, our least supported, for Tech class licensees that want to try HF phone.
If you have a new fusion rig since our last net, fire it up and we will help with any problems you have. Just remember to operate on 145.29 MHz in DN mode with your GPS locked on or if you don't have GPS like the FT 991 or your shack is in the basement, load your coordinates in manually before the net. Load in your call sign and name if you can fit all this plus a space into the 10 character field Yaesu allocated. If it won't fit use your call sign. This data will be transmitted along with your voice and the net uses it.
