[SJRA-Members] Log periodic

I have had one of the create log periodics for years. It works well for what it is...essentially it has the gain of a three element yagi on whatever the bandwidth it covers. It is a well built antenna, with a gain pattern that essentially looks like a cardioid - it has a rather broad forward gain pattern, with a very sharp null directly behind the antenna.

As something to work a net, this antenna is not too bad; you wont be hunting around to bring up the contact. Just point in the general direction and go, because there isnt much gain difference from deat-on to 45 degrees off of target. If you are looking for something with contest level performance...it just doesnt have the requisite performance.

Subject: [SJRA-Members] Log periodic

I've been eying log periodic antenna for 6m - 1300 MHz. Anyone have any
experiences with such an antenna? I'm specifically looking at the Create.

Happy holidays!
