Subject: A Heart Felt THANK YOU

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU THAT VOLUNTEERED FOR THE

2014 MS150 CITY TO SHORE

Another successful event raising over 6 Million Dollars, which will primarily stay local.

MS Event Communications and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society would like to send a heart felt thank you to all volunteers who participated in this year's event. While we did not hit our goal of volunteers, we were able to effectively complete our duties in a comparable manner.

Those of you who came out to support us, and fulfill your HAM Public Service requirements, are a testament to – THERE ARE STILL SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT CARE. We at EvComm and the Society realize that this is a long event and that it can be a hardship to schedules, but, we have been told time and time again that the satisfaction received in doing this event trumps all. Just seeing the appreciation in the faces of all those MS patients that come out to cheer us on and say Thank You gives us the satisfaction to endure and work this event in it's full capacity, and want to come back year after year in an effort to find a cure for this devastating disease.

Next year will be the 35th anniversary of the event, and plans are being made to make it the most memorable one yet. This event is - if not THEE, but one of the - largest Amateur Radio Public Service events in the country, and we should all feel proud of our participation and in showing that Amateur Radio Operators are there, and can be depended on, to professionally and compassionately be a force to be reckoned with.

Our group, EvComm (MS Event Communications), has grown professionally in leaps and bounds over the last few years, and it would not have been possible without the help of dedicated HAMS throughout the Tri-State area. While our appreciation for the Tried and True is surpassed by nothing, we are still in the need to grow with the event, the times, and the progression of this terrible affliction. At this point, with this in mind, we have three requests:

1.	We ask that all HAMS receiving this email start to look at their schedules for 2015. The event will be September 26th and 27th and we are hoping to hit our goal of 125 volunteers by July 31, 2015,
2.	While our footprint and mailing lists are not near as complete and we would like them to be, we ask that you all forward any correspondence that you receive from us to any and all HAMS that you may know. Also, anyone with access to a HAM mailing/distribution list, we ask you to please contact us to hopefully set up a re-lay, if you will, of our information, and
3.	We at EvComm do not claim to be the end all, we need help. We are currently looking for volunteers to join our group in many different capacities (ie: Club Liaisons, Equipment Coordinators, Information/Medea coordinators and contributors, etc.)

We hope to enhance communication by the early part of 2015, so look to be hearing from us soon.

In closing, we at EvComm, the folks at The National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Greater Delaware Valley Chapter, and everyone affected by this disease , once again THANK ALL OF YOU who volunteered in 2014. We enjoyed working with you this year and look forward to working with all of you (and hopefully a lot more) for as many years in the future as it takes to finally have -

A WORLD FREE OF MS.
