[SJRA-Members] Youth Operators and the Get On The Air Station

SJRA desperately needs youthful operators (18 or less) not only to help
supply new blood to the club but to help out with Field Day.  Each youth
operator who makes a contact on any station at Field Day earns 20 bonus
points for the club.  More importantly he or she gets his feet wet on the
way of becoming an amateur radio enthusiast.

SJRA will have a GOTA coach ready to help any new recruits to get on the
air or any older folks as well who want to jump into the business.  Older
members can also contribute bonus points to the club's total by operating
at the GOTA station or elsewhere.  It is a great opportunity to learn the
ropes in an environment where no one will criticize you.

So whether you are youthful or not please turn out for Field Day and try
your voice at making contacts.  And even if you only know a youthful
operator who might be interested, please take the initiative to invite him
to Field Day.
