I'm for some reason not hearing anything unusual on or around 1.916 at my
Marlton QTH, but I am hearing a strong whistle between around 1.906 and
1.909; pitch changes as frequency changes. If this is what you are hearing
on 1.916, then I need some work on my rig.

I don't have a link. It's there right now 10 over 9. Solid copy. You If
you are within a few states of NJ you should be able to hear it with about
any antenna. My initial email has generated about 30 replies. CODAR was an
early suspect but seems to be falling out of favor. CODAR is limited to 50
watts according to what I've read. This signal is strong and wide. I'll
guess at least 10K watts. Maye some sort of over the horizon radar?
