A quick look at their website does not turn up 1916kHz as a working
frequency. Their SeaSonde sensors run 40-80W on the following frequencies:

Standard Hi-Res Long-Range
one of either: one of either: 4.3-5.4 MHz
                         11.5-14 MHz or
24-27 MHz 24-27 MHz or
40-45 MHz

They do have SeasSondes off the NJ coast. See
http://www.codar.com/SeaSonde_gen_specs.shtml. 1.916 is an SSTV frequency.

Bob, I believe it is from Codar http://www.codar.com/index.htm with the
storms predicted in Phillipines they may have been active. they operate on
1915

Anyone else hearing it? It sort of sounds like a washing machine agitator.
I get it about S9 with attenuator on. I got the initial report on a local
repeater. Other hams on east coast are hearing it. From what I've been
told, it's been on the air for 4-5 days now. Whatever it is, its running
BIG power.

Bob
