Hello fellow SJRA members,

Last night I made a presentation of the QRP transmitter, which is a
follow-on to the receiver project we did a year ago.

The main points to know are:

* 4-5w output on the 40m CW band.

* The kit includes a crystal for 7030 Khz and one for 7040 Khz
and has a VXO to allow you to swing the crystals about 3 Khz.

* Class E final for very high efficiency

* Includes QSK (break-in) with ant. switching relay between
Rx and Tx. Also provides Rx muting so you can monitor
your keying through your own receiver

* Package includes commercial enclosure (by TenTec)

* Complete price $30 if you get in on this BUILD. After the
first BUILD, additional components will cost more due to not
getting quantity discounts from parts vendors.

* This project is a little simpler than the receiver, and there are
no difficult construction items to build.

* You will need to obtain 12V at about 500ma dc to run the rig.
It will run fine on batteries if you don't have a DC supply. Even a
    12V 1 amp wall-wart could be used.

IF YOU WANT TO BE ADDED TO THE 20 PEOPLE WHO ARE ON THE 1ST BUILD,
SEND ME A REPLY IN THE NEXT WEEK SO I CAN GET THE PARTS ORDERING DONE .

When we have all these radios done, maybe we could have some kind of a CW party
on the air!

Thanks and 73,

Mario Dianora / N2AK
