M0DXR, Mark Haynes, Chairman of the WRTC 2026 Organising Committee, announced on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, that the previously announced WRTC 2026 results have been voided and replaced. He said that new information emerged after the onsite adjudication process concluded at Wyboston, UK, on 13 July 2026, requiring further work by the Judging Committee. The Organising Committee and Sanctioning Committee supported the additional review to ensure the event reflects the most accurate assessment of contest conduct and ability.

Haynes emphasized that the rules had been clearly communicated throughout the planning process and were expected to be understood and accepted by participants. While acknowledging the sensitivity of the decision and the desire to avoid division, he stated that protecting the integrity and future of WRTC was the top priority. He thanked participants and supporters for their patience and expressed particular appreciation to the Judging Committee, Organising Committee, and Sanctioning Committee for their work and collaboration.
