Update on 3B8FP and his new rig!

Rachid received his new radio a couple of weeks ago along with a copy of the Radio Today guide to the FT710.

These were given to Rachid all because of the generosity of 19 people who came from private individuals from the following organizations.

South Jersey DX Association

Frankford Radio Club

Old Barney Amateur Radio Club

International DX Association (from individual officers and board members).

In a matter of a couple of days, we collected enough to cover the entire cost and shipping. We were able to cut off the collection much earlier than expected.

We really appreciate the overwhelming response from those who contributed.

Rachid was quite overwhelmed as well. He is currently setting up his new radio for SSB and FT8.

Looking forward to him getting on the air again soon. It has been over a year since his last QSO.
