SJDXA and OBARC MEMBERS

Tom N2XW, Bob N2HM and I have continued to work on the NA2R estate.

We have continued to find more stuff, but we think we are near the end. But you never know.

We want to THANK everyone who has helped by purchasing items. It has helped make our job at least a little easier since we have been able to free up space at the storage site.

I am attaching an updated list and added some new items at the end. I have removed SOLD items, left in a few HOLD items although all previous HOLDS have been purchased so far. Item numbers remain the same for easier record keeping.

We have ALSO added MORE items found which are at the bottom of the list (mostly items 190-221).

We still have some nice radios available. All so far have tested good, and they all look nice and clean. Look through the list.

I would like to report on one of the HQ170AC receivers that Mark K2MER bought. He took it to a local tech to test it out. It was found to be functioning as if it were new in 1962. Apparently, it was an NA2R restoral. We still have 3 more of these radios.

Just a few days ago, we opened a box that was covered with coax cables and was very heavy. I guess we had ASSUMED it had a roll of coax inside. We found that it had never been opened and had a date on the outside of 1999. It still had the original box staples in it so it had never been opened. We opened it to discover a BRAND NEW M2 Antenna Positioner (ROTOR) and controller. (see item #219). The current version of this same model has a price of $3400 on it. If you’re curious what it is, go here OR2800PXAZ with CONTROLLER (m2inc.com) . The rotor itself weighs 42 pounds.

We also researched a tower that John had but didn’t put up (see item 220). It is a 50’ - 5 section Rohn 25G tower with a BPH25G hinge plate, a rotor plate and a top thrust bearing plate. The thrust bearing and all bolts should be replaced.

We added COAX and antenna wire to the list. However, we will be bringing odds and ends coax pieces and wire antennas to the next OBARC meeting for the honor table, and there could be some more small items as well.

We have 3 HF amplifiers that have all been tested by our amp man! The ALS1300, AL811H and AL1500 all work. The AL1500 does not come with a tube but it was tested with a borrowed one.

If you are interested in anything on the list, please drop me an email at [email protected] and either make a fair offer OR ask me what we have it listed for as a suggested fair price.

Items can be brought to an OBARC meeting OR to the WYRS/SJDXA site, or other arrangements can be made. We are not bringing people to the storage site at the request of the family (and us).

We are still trying to keep sales LOCAL. We have shipped a few SMALL items. We will not be able to ship any larger items.

Please keep this list among OBARC and SJDXA members for now.
