Sooooo....

The footnotes of what really happened is that the tower rotted, fell down, site was picked apart over the course of months by scavengers, and the station was silent for all that time. The FCC was planning to do an inspection and the station manager went and concocted the story which is as it turns out - a hoax to avoid being fined.

The guy just wants money even though numerous local industry folks offered equipment/towers...total scam.

No reason to fear anyone will steal your tower while you sleep! 

Cant make this stuff up....

I had seen this on a news channel report and its crazy to think someone was able to pull this off. Almost seems like an inside job.
