SJDXA members,

As many of you know, I was volunteered to be the QSL Manager for the upcoming Juan Fernandez DXpedition.

Website is here https://cb0za.com

For your information, the current plan is for them to use 3 calls. CB0ZA for the primary DXpedition call, CB0ZEW for the call used with the new “remote” mini-RIB put together by Gregg W6IZT, and CB0ZW for the ARRL DX CW Contest. I anticipate one QSL design for all 3 calls. The reason for the CB0ZEW call is because the IOTA program does not accept remote setups, so that call will be so designated as being a remote and will not count for the IOTA award. I have been invited to be on the list of remote ops for CB0ZEW so we shall see how that works out.

It has been quite a long time since we handled a QSL operation projected to be this large, so I am anticipating the need to hold a QSL Party at the Club station at WYRS to help process these cards. The exact details TBD.

In anticipation of this, I would like to take a list of “locals” who would be interested in coming down to the site if needed.

Date and time to be figured out later as we move forward. Many things have to come together first.

(QSL card printing, final QSO total of the DXpedition, QSL requests received via OQRS and direct mail, etc etc)

So, drop me an email at [email protected] and let me know. I do not anticipate the need for any remote QSL help on this one. So, only if you can come to the site.
