Yes, Gerry and Steve4, I agree. Too many people have to have it NOW! 2 days into a 3 month operation. Crozet is one of the 4 I need on cw. Need every band but 20, but would gladly take a 20 cw qso.

Give Thierry a break. One man. Wire antennas. Basically running barefoot ( saw reports his 500 watt amp blew but no verification).  Very rare entity.  And under the watch of government.

And like you said, Gerry. The loudest complainers have never been under the gun on the other side. Don’t get me started on the (southern) Europeans. Complaining “it’s a JA” operation. Check the clublog stats and see where most qsos went.

A couple years ago there was a dxpedition that was actually checking spots and comments. They made it clear that friendly SUGGESTIONS were appreciated but bad comments would get operator blackballed. One big Euro (Surprise!) started ragging on the second day of the operation. He ended up with something like 30 qsos on 9 bands, all modes. And didn’t ever get a qsl/LOTW etc.

Anyway.   Good luck to all. I can’t wait for the madness and confusion when Crozet and Bouvet are on at the same time.

Happy New Year!

Yes, Steve it is sad. Especially so because most of the comments are from guys who have never left their shack to operate or have ever had a pileup to work down.  I have Crozet on SSB, but would really like them on CW (I'm one short of CW Honor Roll). Based on what I've seen in 2 days, that CW QSO will take a miracle.  Hopefully, he'll get permission to operate longer.

Gerry, W1GD

This is sad how much bashing he has been getting for FT-8 on 14.085 the last hour. Not going to say he has no idea what he is doing but the impression is being made that way on DXWATCH

SJDXA members,
FT8WW is on 30 meters FT8
He is using Multi Stream on 10.131 mhz.
DO NOT use Fox/Hound.
Just use regular FT8.
Beam heading here is 120 degrees if you are using a directional antenna.

You can transmit anywhere in the band EXCEPT on or near any of his stream frequencies which will be down low around he 350-450 hz range depending on your setup. Stay away from his stream frequencies.

Have fun!

So far KF2BQ, KZ2I, K2RET and N2OO have gotten through.
Good luck!
