SJDXA members,

The FALL SJDXA WORD CHALLENGE started November 1^st.

I am currently at 50 completed so far.

(If you made the minimum of 25, please let me know. I misplaced my current record)

Review of the rules:

THE SJDXA FALL 2022 WORD CHALLENGE

Dates: November 1 through December 31, 2022

GOAL: To work as many calls that include a full word in the callsign suffix.

RULES:

Words must be from the “English Dictionary” (CAMBRIDGE). No foreign language words.
Words must be two letters or more in length. (NO one letter words)
Words must be the entire suffix of the call.
Words must not be “Proper Names/Nouns” unless there is a dual meaning (see examples).

Abbreviations that are considered words in the Cambridge dictionary are OK as long as they do not include any punctuation.
No duplicates. You can ONLY use a word once.

Examples: WA2PAM is not allowed because PAM is a proper name and has no definition as a word.

WA2BOB is allowed because it has a dictionary definition as a verb (bob for apples)

WA2XON cannot count for “ON”. XON is not a word. You must use the entire suffix.

WA2BLE cannot count for ABLE since the only letters in the suffix are BLE (not a word)

VA3IDD OK since IDD is an abbreviation with NO punctuation, thus it is considered a word in Cambridge (noun) (International Direct Dialing)

Further examples or adjustments will be provided if necessary.

GOALS:

Certificates will be provided with endorsements for accomplishing “25 QSO” levels. (25,50,75,100 etc) with no ceiling.
