I just heard back from Elecraft about the SJDXA K3.

It has been repaired.

The problem was diagnosed as a blown diode on the RF Board caused by lightning/static/high voltage or RF overload.

They also did two updates:

LPA protection diodes

KPA3 hold-down bracket

Also done, replaced top cover screws with stainless ones and corrected the sub filter sticker (which they found to be incorrect)

The radio was factory calibrated and aligned. They noted that we need to DELETE any saved configuration files, do a fresh save, then set up any personal settings and do another save.

The bill came to $312.50 plus shipping ($63). It cost $129.49 to ship it to them. So the total will be $504.99

It should ship out today. Once I receive it, I will test it here and if OK, then I will submit an insurance claim and see what happens.
