** September 30, 2021 update see below

SJDXA members,

Review (from November 2020):

When the COVID-19 pandemic started back in March/April 2020, SJDXA closed the club station, and suspended meetings until further notice.  We did this after it was made clear by Bob (N2HM) that we did not want to risk his family by visiting the building. But we also closed the station to protect our own SJDXA membership.
In July, the membership decided to remove the club radios (K3, KPA500, IC746) in order to keep them in a safer climate controlled environment as well as to discourage anyone from visiting the shack during the pandemic. The radios are now in N2OO’s possession safely stowed at his home. The OM2000HF amplifier remains at the site for now.
As such, until further notice, any activity that may occur at the SJDXA ham shack at this time is not sanctioned by SJDXA.

Sincerely,

SJDXA Executive Board:
Bob Schenck, N2OO President
Steve Sullivan, KZ2I Vice President
Jim Neufell, K2GMT Secretary
Bob Pantazes, W2ARP Treasurer

** UPDATE September 30, 2021: SJDXA membership also decided last year (July 2020) that in the future, whenever we decided to reopen the SJDXA station, we would require proof of vaccination and/or facemasks as appropriate. The SJDXA equipment manager Joel KS3F and president Bob N2OO have recently reactivated the station. The IC746 and KPA500 have been returned to the site and antennas are being tested. The K3 is out for repair at Elecraft. Both Joel and Bob have shown vaccination proofs. Due to the limited space at the station, we will continue to limit SJDXA presence for the same reasons as noted in the first paragraph above from the original notice made on November 30, 2020 in order to remain staying safe until further notice.  ZOOM meetings will continue until further notice.

Update approved by SJDXA Executive Board
