Some observations: 
Several SJDXA  stations were among the loudest on every band here in Florida but it was difficult hearing so many NJ stations calling other NJ stations and never calling CQ.  I know that many are not contesters but I heard several guys who can't copy cw using readers, at least they got on and made an effort.  I also heard one phone op who hates contests doing a great job giving out points. Sorry for the whining but I’m disappointed in my old home state for not supporting their QP better than I saw this weekend.
I missed both Hudson and Essex counties, I guess there’s not many hams in those counties, right?  
Believe me I was digging hard, using the clusters and constantly tuning the bands.  I even moved a couple of stations who were nice enough to give me a new band or mode. It was a very difficult QP and not enough activity from NJ hams to draw outsiders.  Perhaps some don’t understand that it’s actually two different tests going on at the same time and NJ ops needs all those outsiders to keep their runs going.  The nice part for me was working all my NJ friends and saying a short hello.
