I would like to ask for your support for the President of the National QCWA
presidential election this year for* Ron Fish KX1W*.
Ron is a member also of the South Jersey DX Association and that is how I
know Ron. Ron is also now the secretary of QCWA.
Your support will greatly be appreciated.
Here is Ron's Bio:
I was first licensed in 1971 as WN1OQT in New Haven, CT, where I was
reared. I received my General ticket (WB1BWG) two weeks after graduation
from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) with a BS in Electrical
Engineering in 1978. I rarely used that call as I upgraded to Advanced
(KD6IT) and then Amateur Extra (NF6D) while working in the Aerospace
industry in Southern California. My current and last call is KX1W, which I
received in 1984 when I relocated back to New England.

I am a retired Aerospace avionics systems engineer/business development
manager. I have worked for Boeing, Northrop, and Lockheed Martin, in
addition to small and medium-sized firms.

I was active in the WPI Radio Club, W1YK, although primarily as a SWL since
my license had lapsed during my college years. I am a past president of the
Northrop Radio Club (then W6VPZ, now WI6NG), a past president of the Los
Angeles Area Council of Amateur Radio Clubs, and I was the first Affiliated
Club Coordinator in the Los Angeles Section of the ARRL when they
introduced the expanded field appointments. I was also one of the operators
at the 1984 Olympic Village commemorative station in Los Angeles.

In 2006, I earned a Masters in Business Administration from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute (RPI). I am a Life Member of ARRL, QCWA, and OOTC. I
have been on the Publications Committee of QCWA for the past few years,
proofreading both the QCWA Journal and the webpage. In 2016, I became the
QCWA Silent Key Administrator, and I am currently QCWA National Secretary.

I've had an almost life-long interest in the Sherlock Holmes tales written
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and I belong to a number of Sherlock Holmes
groups worldwide. I was the Editor of the newsletter of The Sherlock Holmes
Wireless Society for twenty years (a group open only to licensed amateurs).
I also maintain a number of websites for various Sherlockian groups.

I am also an active Freemason, belonging to a lodge in CT and appendant
groups such as the Scottish Rite, York Rite, and the Shrine.

I was the Affiliated Club Coordinator for the Eastern New York Section of
the ARRL until last year when I relocated to the Jersey Shore. I have been
active on the HF bands since the ARRL bicentennial, on SSB, CW and Digital.
I earned WAS and DXCC on phone, currently chasing both on CW and Digital.
