The New Jersey QSO Party will be held this Saturday, September 18th from 12
pm (noon) EDT to 12 am (midnight) EDT.

For the last 2 years, I have been the overall winner of the NJ QSO Party.

I have done this with just 100 watts and a couple of mediocre wire antennas.
Nothing exotic I assure you.

I like to think I'm a good operator but I know there are better ones in the
Garden State. Some of you are friends of mine.

I still can't believe that someone can't beat me at this!

It would be outstanding if we could get some solid participation this year.

I'm certain several of you could turn in impressive scores with a modest
effort.

There is a club aggregate score category (for NJ based clubs) and I know
there are some great clubs in our state.

Please forward this message to as many NJ ops and clubs as you like.

I am begging for someone to beat me at this. It really isn't that hard!

Rules and other info can be found here:

http://www.k2td-bcrc.org/njqp/njqp_rules.html

Some Highlights:

. Low power (<150w) earns a 2x score multiplier

. QRP (<5w) earns a 5x score multiplier

. CW and digital QSOs = 2 points

. Phone QSOs = 1 point

. NJ stations can work 84 multipliers: 21 NJ counties + 49 states
(not NJ) + 13 Canadian Provinces + 1 DX

. You can work the same station on CW, digital, and phone on 80, 40,
20, 15, and 10m.

. Exchange for NJ stations is RS(T) + county. Non NJ is RS(T) +
state, province, or "DX".

See you on the air Saturday.
