Dan Street K1TO, who served for 18 years as FCG president, suffered a critical injury in early August while working on a tower in Georgia. After extensive medical treatment in Georgia, Dan was recently moved back home to Florida and hopefully will make a complete recovery.

As Dan is self-employed, the medical and legal expenses continue to mount. The Florida Contest Group is accepting contributions from Dan's friends to help ease these expenses.

If you know Dan and value his friendship, we would ask that you consider contributing to this fund which will be administered by the FCG. 100% of the funds raised will go to Dan and Mary Ann to cover medical and other ongoing expenses.

Please use the Friends & Family option if possible and note in the memo area that your contribution is for K1TO so that we can ensure that we credit the correct account. The club's bank requires an individual's identity to be tied to the account as an anti-fraud and anti-money laundering measure, and they refuse to accept third-party checks, so please make your check out to Joe Pfeuffer and note in the memo line that your contribution is for Dan Street. Include an email address with your check and Joe will provide a confirmation that your check was received.

Your contribution is not tax-deductible and therefore should not be considered a charitable deductible.

At this time, Dan cannot easily read his computer or phone so he's not able to meaningfully respond to emails or texts. If you want to send Dan a note of your support, I might suggest a QSL card to his callbook address.
