[SJDXA] Zombie Shuffle tomorrow night - Friday October 30th

I thought I'd put this out there for anyone who might be interested.

 

Every year on the Friday before Halloween, there is a non-contest CW event
called the Zombie Shuffle.

It's a slow-speed, QRP, CW only event and runs roughly 8 hours.  It is
strictly non-competitive.

The scoring is structured in a way so as to be almost serendipitous. There
are no multipliers but more Qs is better.

 

You don't have to be CW contest operator and speeds are generally QRS.

 

Date:   Tomorrow, Friday October 30th

Time:    4 pm local time (4:00 pm EDT, 2000 UTC) to midnight local time
(12:00 am EDT, 0400 UTC)

Bands: 80m, 40m, 20m

I did this a couple times and it was a fun way to kill a couple hours on a
rainy Friday.

You won't find this event in N1MM or any other contest loggers so you'll
need to keep your own log somehow.

I make an Excel spreadsheet that I've attached with my 2015 log on the
second tab as an example.

 

If your CW is rusty and you want a way to brush up before CQ WW CW, you
should give this a try.

There is no pressure and CW events don't get more laid back than this.

The operators are either practically dead or practically alive, depending on
your perspective.

Maybe I'll work a few or you tomorrow night.
