[SJDXA] 160 SSB Contest

SJDXA members,

It's that time again! Hard to believe it's here already!

The CQWW 160 SSB Contest is scheduled for February 22-23-24. This will be
SJDXA's 15th activity from N2CW. We only missed 2015 due to antenna issues
at the site.

This year, if everything is as it was for the CW contest a couple of weeks
ago, we should be in very good shape. I can attest that it was the best
setup I have seen/heard in all those years at the site so we SHOULD be good
to go.

Marty W2CG and Danny W2NO will be coming down Friday to get us set up and
help with operating. I have been assured that the F key voice keying will be
good to go.

Now is the time for taking a head count.

We will be starting on Friday Feb 22 in the morning (exact time TBD) and
running through the weekend at least until around 9:00 AM Sunday morning.

The contest starts at 2200Z on Friday Feb 22 and runs through to 2200Z on
Sunday Feb 24. We are allowed to operate for 40 hours out of the overall 48
hour contest period.

 

Setup:

We will be using 3 K3's.

We have 2 lined up (mine and SJDXA's)

We will be needing one more at least (plus a backup). Not sure who has K3's
anymore, but if you have one that is available, please let me know.

 

ALSO, since the regular SJDXA meeting would normally be held on the
Wednesday AFTER the contest, I propose that we hold it a week earlier so
that we can discuss our contest effort.

So, please mark your calendars for Wednesday February 20th at 10:00 AM at
the site.. Lunch afterwards.
