INDEXA MEMBERSHIP & SUPPORT REQUESTED

 

Hello ole Friend and Fellow DXer...We both enjoy the hobby of Ham Radio and
the best part of the hobby is our intense desire to work new DXCC entities
and to achieve the ARRL #1 Honor Roll, the never ending DXCC Challenge Award
or the 5BWAZ.

 

In 1983 I was one of the charter members of INDEXA (International DX
Association) and have been a Director several times and now the past
President. INDEXA has been involved in the financial support of over 235
DXpeditions in the past 35 years.  For the past three years we have also
been supporting some DXpeditions with additional funds to be directed for
Humanitarian support. 

 

As a DXer you know the difficulty and expense that many teams around the
world go through to activate a rare DXCC entity. In order to provide you the
much needed ATNO (All Time New One) or new band country, it requires up
front financial support long before the DXpedition is ever activated. This
is where INDEXA has become a major supporter of rare DXpeditions over the
past 35 years by providing SEED money in advance. INDEXA is considered to be
the #2 financial supporter of rare or semi-rare DXpeditions throughout the
world. The NCDXF in California is #1 because of an extremely large financial
contribution years ago. As friends and fellow DXers we work together. When
you see a pie chart of financial support given to a rare DXpedition the
greatest percentage is from North America by far. 

Your DXCC Country count would not be where it is today if it was not for
these organizations.

 

This is why I am writing requesting that you consider supporting INDEXA.
Yearly dues are only $20.00.  Donations from US Amateurs may be tax deducted
as we are an IRS 501(c)(3) organization. Our website is www.indexa.org and
by clicking the Join, Renew or Donate button you can sign up as a member and
also donate on-line. Membership and donations can also be sent by mail to
our Secretary-Treasurer W3OA. 

Please review our website and see our current activities and members. I
would really like to see your call on this list.

 

Donating before the end of December will possibly allow you to take an IRS
Tax deduction on your taxes for 2018. Also, if you are possibly thinking of
a Christmas gift for a DXer friend why not consider an INDEXA membership for
him or her?  It doesn't cost much and you do not have to fight the lines at
the mall.
