Tnx Bob,
WSJT-X documentation was awful describing this! It still talks about checking the NA VHF Contest on the main screen. As you wrote, it wasn't there on version 1.9 and there was no other description on how to make it appear. For some QSOs, there was a pop-up asking if I wanted to enable NA VHF Contest, but there was no way to go back to the "standard" format for those stations not using contest mode. I now have it working!

SJDXA folks,
KZ2I and I just got some info on setting up WSJT-X for the current June VHF-Contest.
You need to check the NA VHF Contest box on the main page. This box is already on version 1.8 .
If you are running Version 1.9, you will not see this checkbox. To make it appear, you need to go File – Settings and check the box called “Enable VHF/UHF/Microwave features”. Now, back on the main page your NA VHF Contest box will appear. Check it and you will be good to go.

If you do not check this box (in the contest) you will see and give out bogus grid squares.

Just a heads up.

See ya' in the Pileups!
73!
