[SJDXA] Last minute notes

SJDXA members,

One last thing.

I always ask our participants to bring a covered travel type mug for their
coffee and/or sodas. Especially when you are at an operating position.

Nothing more disastrous if a paper coffee cups gets knocked over there.

If you don't have one, we have several on the counter. If you want to claim
one for the weekend, put white electrical tape and your call on one.

Today, a group of us met at the site and set up the radios, tested the
transmit antennas, and tested the beverage antennas. All are good.

One minor problem happened with the 2S1 switch. We have a spare and it is
working fine.

If you can operate over night, let me know. Especially for overnight
Saturday night. But either or both nights are welcome.

Tomorrow, we will open up around 9:30 AM to complete preparations.

W2CG and W2NO will be coming down to help set up the logging programs
(WinTEST), and the radios. All radios will have the same setups that we used
last year (AGC and TX/RX Equalizer settings). What is currently installed in
each radio will be saved, and reinstalled into the radio after the contest
unless the owner of the radio wants to leave our settings installed.

Also, all radios will have the latest firmware update installed.

Remember, if/when you are home to be sure to work us too!

See ya' in the Pileups!

73!
