Operations will take place from the location of the former Navy High
Power Radio Station on Greenbury Point in Annapolis.

NSS frequencies are 4,038.5, 7,533.5, 14,487, 17,545, and 20,994 kHz.
We'll have four transmitters operating simultaneously.

NSS began operations in 1918 as the Navy High Power Radio Station using a
Federal Telegraph Company 500 kilowatt arc transmitter and four 600 foot towers
operating in the Very Low Frequency (VLF) band, at that time VLF provided the
only known capability for trans-oceanic communications. NSS began continuous
operations in the short wave (HF) bands about ten years later until 1976 when
its HF mission was transferred to NAM in Norfolk, VA.

Visitors are welcome from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (local time) Saturday at 150 Hooper High Road, Annapolis

all but three of the towers is here:
