I'm sad to report the passing of one of my Carolina brethren, Roger,  N4ZC. 
 Some of you up here might have known Roger or run into him at Dayton  or 
other confabs.
 
Roger was a founding member of CDXA and the first President.  He was  an 
accomplished CW and SSB contester and DXer.  He operated from more than  40 
countries including Kure, Midway and Desecheo.  He hosted the very  successful 
N4ZC contest station for many years.  His awards included 5 Band  WAS, 5 
Band DXCC and Number 1 DXCC. (taken from CDXA website)
 
He was a good man.  I enjoyed our talks about anything radio,  including 
his phenomenal knowledge of music (from hosting a commercial radio  show for 
over 30 years).
 
He was my friend, taking in this wayward Yankee, even inviting me to  
operate a multi-multi contest at his house the first year I was down  there (and 
I have the certificate from the win).
 
Please say a little prayer for Rog and for his xyl, Joyce.
