The Icom IC-7200 is being discontinued. Icom has not made the official
announcement yet, but we did buy the remaining 27 units from the final
production run and we were told there will be no more available after those.


 

We would like our remaining stock to last us through the end of May, so
we're creating bundles to slow down the rate of sale a bit. The default
bundle is an IC-7200 with a Gold warranty for $949. You'll notice on our
website that the IC-7200's price is now $949 and if you add it to your cart,
the cart description says "Includes 3 year Gold Warranty from GigaParts." By
tomorrow, we should have some additional graphics on the product profile
page itself that promotes the included warranty.

 

We're also working on some bundles that will include things like tuners and
power supplies and we hope to have those posted in the next couple of days.

 

If you hear any complaints of our new pricing strategy, please let me know.
Here's a response you should be prepared with, "When radios get
discontinued, discounts often get suspended and that's what happened with
this radio. On the up side, now it comes with a 3 year warranty and that
wasn't the case before."

 

Pricing is likely going to be very dynamic on this product until we're sold
out. When we get close to the end of our supply, we could see prices over
$1,100 or only available in larger bundles.
