Just wanted to pass this along to the SJDXA membership.
We have been using QSL.NET as host for our SJDXA discussion list for many
years.
Dear QSL.net users,
We hope you are enjoying the services we provide, such as free Web Hosting,
Email Forwarding, Mailman Mailing Lists and DX Log Search. You are one of
over 70,000 hams taking advantage of these services!
It's been a year since our last system-wide email to users.
Since taking over the QSL.net systems, we have seen continued growth in
server resource and bandwidth usage. Thanks to your financial support, we
are able to improve the system response times with server CPU and memory
upgrades, and fund the costs for increased bandwidth, to keep QSL.net
services running efficiently.
Last year we subscribed to a business-class spam filtering system for our
QSL.net Email forwarding users. The new spam filtering system has been very
successful and has dramatically decreasing the amount of spam seen by our
users.
QSL.net is dedicated to the sole purpose of furthering the abilities and
interests of the Amateur Radio Community, with free Internet services for
hams. QSL.net now needs to ask you for something in return: Your financial
support.
QSL.net exists solely on your donations!
In addition to the costs for the new spam filtering system and the on-going
costs for data center bandwidth and hardware, we also have hundreds of hours
of time involved in answering support tickets, programming and maintaining
the Self-Help and Ticket systems, troubleshooting various web, email,
mailing list and FTP issues, etc.
Would you be willing to put something in our Tip Jar to say "Thank you"?
You can make a donation at: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
You can donate via PayPal, Credit Card, Check or Money Order. Your donation
will be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thank you for your support!
