To the following:
K2SG, K2SZ, WU2E, KB2M, KF2BQ, N2HM, N2OO, N2OZ, W2OB, WS2C, N4XAT, KD2BXD,
WA2ZZE, KU9C, KZ2I, W2CDS, KB2TMU & KA2NBB
Thank you for paying your SJDXA FY 2015 dues.
To the team members who help me recover my lost air fair for the canceled
160 Phone, I personal want to say a heart felt Thank You.
A personal note,
You don't know what you have until you don't have it any more. I love
Florida and the hams that friended me, but it is not SJDXA. Fort Myers ARC
has an A1 Newsletter, meeting with NO speakers or training and a trialed
with a 20 foot crack up tower and a Mosley Beam. We do use a Tri- plexer to
split for 3 radios, 20,15 and 10 meters and that is it. Field Day, Light
house weekend and special events, it the same set up. It works lets not try
a few wire antennas. The one thing that get me the most is FMARC will NOT
donate to DXperdtion.
It is an honer and fun to be part of SJDXA. No other club can have the
following happen; K2RET and I getting the SWR down, at the base of the
tower in the evening sun just as the contest is starting. Bob, N2OO falling
into a pit in the swamp and K2RET and Pulling him out ( with RET saying we
got to get him, I don't want to be President), Helping Bob, N2HM pull down
the dog house after Sandy. then trying to put up a Rubber maid shelter up.
Walking the Beverages in snow and or mud. Finding coax that was eaten by
wild life and doing a splice in the middle of the woods. Finding a broken
RX vertical at the base and needing a pair of wire cutters ( look around
and their is a pair that was left behind by John, W2GD). While under the
building having to move a mouse or snack to get to to a project. Setting
logging PC as 5 PM approaches, laying under the table with Marty W1GD and
pulling wires. The 10 meter contest and the fun we all had. Last the The
WSC Special Event, the great looking certificate and the message handling
to Germany, Thank you Steve.
QSL cards with the notes ( The JA saying I so happy that I will pee in your
shoes), all the money including coins falling out of envelopes. N2OO
walking into the bank and the all tellers closing their windows. Fun with
misprinted cards and a printer that does not like to print in the box.
If it was not for SJDXA I may still have been at 98 and holding for DXCC ,
instead of 260 DXCC
I am sure all other members have great story about SJDXA and remember it
can only happen in West Creek, NJ. Enjoy the SJDXA it is one of a kind club.
Thanks to all.
